Fax by email, including from Gmail
Email the document to a private address made for that fax. FaxCan turns it into a draft and waits for you to confirm. C$15 a month for 200 pages and one fax number.
Early access is a waitlist. You can't send a fax from this site today, and joining doesn't charge anything or reserve a number.
How email to fax works
- In FaxCan, tap Add a file by email. You get an address that belongs to that one fax, and only to you.
- Send or forward your email with the attachment to that address, from your own account.
- The attachment appears in the draft within seconds.
- Open the preview, check the number and pages, and confirm. Nothing is dialled before that.
Why there's no send-straight-from-email address
An address that dials whatever arrives would let anyone who learns it send faxes on your account, and spam faxes get phone lines shut down. So email only ever creates a draft; you always confirm.
Fax to email
Faxes sent to your FaxCan number come to you as an email with the PDF attached. We don't keep your documents. The PDF comes to your email, then we delete our copy, and the copy on our carrier account, within 24 hours at most.
Questions
Can I email a document to a fax number?
Not directly, and that's on purpose. With FaxCan you email the attachment to the private address made for that fax. It becomes a draft, and you confirm it in the app before anything is dialled.
Does it work from Gmail and Outlook?
Yes. Any email account you sign in with can send attachments to your fax's private address. Emails from other senders are ignored.
Can I get faxes sent to my email?
Yes. Faxes you receive arrive as an email with the PDF attached. See receiving faxes by email.
Can I do this today?
Early access is a waitlist. You can't send a fax from this site today, and joining doesn't charge anything or reserve a number.
