FaxCan sends and receives faxes for Canadian small offices, from your phone, your email or your computer. You preview every fax before it goes. The PDF lands in your email, and we don't keep the document.
Early access is a waitlist. You can't send a fax from this site today, and joining doesn't charge anything or reserve a number.
From the phone or the inbox
PDF, iPhone photos (HEIC included), JPG, PNG, TIFF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF or text. Up to 40 pages and 99 MB per fax. Each fax can also have its own private email address: the message becomes a draft and waits for you.
See it before it dials
Cover sheet, recipient number and a page-by-page preview. Suggested cover-sheet fields are just suggestions. Nothing is dialled until you confirm.
See it leave
Live status from dialling to sending to delivered, with a time estimate per page based on recent calls. "Delivered" means the receiving machine confirmed the pages. Your receipt arrives by email with the PDF.
Your email is the archive
We don't keep your documents. The PDF comes to your email, then we delete our copy, and the copy on our carrier account, within 24 hours at most. History keeps the number, time, page count and status, not the document.
Built for a small office
For bookkeepers, property managers and other offices of 1 to 5 people. One fax number, an inbox for faxes that arrive, no machine and no landline.
Health-care offices (PHIPA)
The standard plan isn't built for health records. A PHIPA package for Ontario health-care offices (Canadian hosting, signed agreements, audit logging) is planned. Join the waitlist and choose health care.
How it works
- Join the list. Your email, your kind of office, and roughly how many pages you fax a month.
- Subscribe when early access opens. We issue your fax number once the payment clears.
- Add the paperwork. Upload it, photograph it, or email it to that fax's private address.
- Check and confirm. Review the cover sheet, number and pages. We don't dial until you confirm.
- Keep the receipt. It's sent over the public phone network. The receipt and PDF arrive by email, then we delete our copy.
C$15 a month for 200 pages and one fax number
That's the early-access price we're testing. There's no free plan and no cheaper plan. Rates for extra pages will be posted before anyone is charged. Joining the list doesn't start a subscription.

Can I fax from my iPhone?
Yes, in the browser, with no app to install. iPhone photos (HEIC included), PDFs and Office files are accepted. You preview the pages and confirm before we dial. Early access is a waitlist today, so this isn't open to the public yet.
Can I fax by email, including from Gmail?
Yes, once you have an account. Each fax gets its own private email address: send your attachment there and it becomes a draft. Nothing is dialled until you open the preview and confirm. Faxes you receive come to you as an email with the PDF attached.
Can I receive faxes without a fax machine or landline?
Yes. When early access opens, your FaxCan number receives the fax and we email you the PDF. That email is your copy: we delete ours within 24 hours.
How much does it cost? Is there a free fax, a free trial or a one-time fax?
The early-access plan is C$15 a month for 200 pages and one fax number. There is no free plan, free trial or one-time fax. If you need to send a fax today, use a service that's open now.
Is FaxCan PHIPA-ready? Does my data stay in Canada?
The standard plan isn't built for health records. A PHIPA package for Ontario health-care offices (Canadian hosting, signed agreements, audit logging) is planned. Until that package exists, don't use FaxCan for health records. The standard plan also doesn't promise that data stays in Canada: the app runs on Cloudflare, receipts go through email, and faxes travel over the public phone network. The promise we make is deletion: We don't keep your documents. The PDF comes to your email, then we delete our copy, and the copy on our carrier account, within 24 hours at most.
Can I keep the fax number I have now?
Not yet. Moving (porting) an existing fax number isn't available. Tell us on the waitlist if you need it; it helps us decide what to build next.
Will it work with Google Drive, OneDrive, ChatGPT or Claude?
Those are planned, not available during early access. Drive, OneDrive and webhook delivery will put the PDF in your own files. A connector for Claude and ChatGPT will always show you a preview and wait for you to confirm in your browser; the assistant can't send on its own.
Can I use FaxCan as my record for a client file or the CRA?
No, we're the wrong archive: we delete the document. Keep the receipt email with the PDF if you need a record. We don't advise on legal, tax or accounting retention.
